On-Site Diagnostics for Same-Day Results
Whether we’re performing routine blood work as part of a wellness visit, examining an injury, pinpointing the cause of an illness, or conducting pre-anesthesia screenings prior to surgery, accurate, same-day diagnostics are an important part of your pet’s ongoing healthcare. At The Oaks Veterinary Clinic, we have in-house diagnostic tools that can give us answers quickly.
Laboratory Testing
Our in-house lab enables us to process blood work and a wide range of other diagnostic tests and achieve same-day results. The scope of our testing capabilities includes the following:
- Full CBC/chemistry profile
- Canine/feline pancreatic function test
- Urinalysis
- Thyroid test
- Heartworm test
- Tests for tick-borne diseases, including Lyme disease
- Ear and skin cytology
- Coagulation profiles
- Full necroscopy
Digital X-Rays
We offer the advantages of in-house digital dental and digital full-body x-ray capabilities. Digital x-rays produce clear, detailed images that can be viewed immediately and enlarged on a monitor for more in-depth evaluation. Additionally, we partner with a tele-radiograph company so that we can transmit your pet’s images to them for a consultation when needed for an added layer of interpretation. Digital x-rays are also much safer because they use less radiation, and sedation isn’t typically needed.
